Weekend @ Home 2024
When: Friday 7th June - Sunday 9th June 2024
Where: All Saints Peckham and surrounds!
Who: Our whole church family - that means you! With full fun programmes for all ages
What: AW Tozer said “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” We don’t want a picture in our minds of a God who is small - instead we want to expand our minds with how huge and wonderful our God is, so that the only response is wonder! Book out the weekend and plan to hang with your church family across Friday, Saturday and Sunday, invited into a deeper sense of Awestruck Wonder for the God we love and serve.
At all the main sessions we'll make space for worship, ministry and teaching from Rev Canon Frog Orr-Ewing, with youth and kids streams running concurrently. The afternoon will explore wonder in lots of different ways, creatively, energetically, prayerfully and practically! And then Saturday evening we'll party together with a fun quiz and silent disco.
We ask that you bring along a picnic lunch on Saturday or we can point you in the direction of some great takeaways. We'll provide a BBQ tea and refreshments during the day and our 'tuck shop' will be open for extra treats. Parents will be responsible for their own children when not in our morning kids groups. We'll have a bouncy castle and garden games on site and family friendly activities as part of the breakout sessions.

Tickets:
It will help us plan well for the weekend if we know how many people to expect so we’d love you to book in online, or via the Weekend @ Home desk on the next few Sundays.
Paying a ticket price will help us to cover costs of food and entertainment. We do not want the cost to prevent anyone from coming so please be aware that there are free places available too. There’s also the opportunity to ‘pay it forward’ so someone else can come for free.
Adults £12
Children & Young people aged 5-17 £6
Aged 4 and under free
Tickets cover refreshments, BBQ tea and access to the evening quiz and disco. BYO or purchase lunch locally. Tuck Shop will be open to buy further snacks and drinks.
Kids Programme:
Over the weekend we want our youngest saints to experience as much of God’s wonder as we can possibly share with them! The blue room will operate as a baby & toddler zone with sensory toys and a live link up to the main talks. The kids stream will feature groups for our primary school aged kids with worship, fun activities and time on our bouncy castle! Pre-booking is required - see overleaf. Throughout the afternoon many of the breakout sessions are family friendly and we hope some of our older kids will be able to stay for the Quiz and Games Night.
Youth Programme:
Our young people will get to experience both joining in with adult sessions and having their own tailor made sessions. The marquee will be their own hangout zone for the weekend and we can’t wait to see them bust some moves at the silent disco.
Prayer Room:
Throughout the weekend the Red Shed will be a place dedicated to prayer. Set up with different prayer prompts, you can go at any time to have some time with God. Prayer ministry will also be available in church during and after the main sessions.
Hangout on Site:
We hope, as much as possible, to replicate our church weekends away by catching up with each other in those in between moments too. We’d love to have you spend the whole day on site on Saturday and there’ll be various activities to do in the gardens and spaces throughout the weekend.
Our Speaker
Rev Canon Frog Orr-Ewing is a theologian, artist, pastor, conservationist, apologist & writer. He's hugely passionate about God's creation, God's people and God's story. He was also the vicar of All Saints from 2003 - 2010 and so is a part of our story. Frog is looking forward to exploring the magnitude of our God with us as we lift our eyes in awestruck wonder.
