Service FAQs

FAQS around services & COVID 19

Can I just visit?

Yes, visitors are very welcome, any time. The service starts at 10:30am (or 6pm for the evening) but the doors remain open and you can come any time. We usually sit in rows, standing to sing from time to time. When we sing the words are projected on a screen.

DO I NEED TO BOOK FOR CHURCH?

No. We are currently not using a booking system. We may need to bring back booking in if we struggle with capacity or if the situation locally with COVID 19 worsens. You are welcome to come along to any service at All Saints and to bring friends and family members too.

WHAT IF I HAVE COVID SYMPTOMS?

Please do not attend if you currently have any symptoms of Coronavirus.  Please follow NHS guidelines  and arrange to have a COVID test. Tune into the service via the livestream and come back when you are healthy.

WHAT PRECAUTIONS ARE STILL IN PLACE?

We’re grateful that the COVID numbers in our area are much lower now than before and therefore we have lifted various restrictions that were in place. Masks are now optional, but please do be aware of those who still choose to wear them and give them some extra space and room. We continue to open all the windows and doors and have hand sanitiser available around the building.

WILL THERE BE CHILDREN’S MINISTRY?

Yes, children’s groups are back!

Little Saints (creche) will be open for 0-3 year olds and parents will be able to drop children and leave them with leaders if they feel comfortable doing so. Places will be limited by the amount of leaders available each Sunday and so you may be asked to stay if necessary. Little Saints meets in the blue room to the left hand side of the hall.

Kids church consists of two groups; Early Years and S-Club. Both meet in the hall. Early Years is for children who are 3 and over up to the end of Reception. They use the left hand door of the hall. S-Club is for school years 1-4 and they use the right hand side door to the hall.

Torches is our group for school years 5-6. They meet in the Red Shed- the wooden building to the righthand side of the hall.

All children will first of all come to the main church building for the beginning of the service. New families, or children new to our groups will be asked to register over at your groups. During the service, instructions will be given when it’s time to leave for groups.

WHAT ABOUT TEENAGERS?

Sunday Morning Youth is back! We’ll start in the main building with the rest of our church family and leave for our groups when prompted to. Groups will be meeting in the church office, the beach hut and the garden in between when weather permits. Watch out for your leaders who’ll explain where to go. All young people at secondary school are welcome along to Sunday Morning Youth.  For any questions please contact toby@allsaintspeckham.org.uk.

WILL THERE BE AN OFFERING?

Yes there are a number of ways you can give to church on Sundays. Baskets are usually passed around early in the service. If you miss those you can donate via the welcome team or using the contactless card machine at the back of church.  Find out more about regular giving and gift aid at www.allsaintspeckham.org.uk/how-to-give.

WILL THERE BE TEA & COFFEE?

When COVID numbers are high in our community we will pause the serving of refreshments after the service, as this is the time with the least mask wearing and most mingling. At other times when it seems like the risk is manageable we will serve tea and coffee in the church after the service. If you can help with this team at all do send us an email at hello@allsaintspeckham.org.uk
