The Storehouse

Financial exclusion is a huge problem in the UK. Many people lack access to mainstream banking services such as current accounts, savings and loan facilities. Many people do not know how to budget, open a bank account or set-up standing orders to pay bills. Many families are struggling with huge debts on low incomes with no hope of repaying what they owe.

This situation is causing social exclusion, poverty and hopelessness. But, it can be addressed through the provision of small scale financial services to the poorest. This has been done internationally for several decades and interest is now increasing within the UK as to its potential for bringing about financial inclusion.

The Storehouse @ All Saints Church aims to provide small scale financial services to marginalised members of the community in the form of:

  • Debt Assistance - Christians Against Poverty (CAP)
  • Financial Education
  • Small Business Development

We want to give our community the confidence and practical skills needed to address financial issues and empower them to change their own financial situation.
