UK Mission
Here at All Saints, we believe in being an outward looking church, delivering tangible community services that both demonstrate the love of God practically and also proclaim His passion for humanity through the love of Jesus Christ.
Mission and Outreach traverses across all the departments of the church, it's not a stand alone endeavour! So, our children's work will always be looking for ways to engage young children from unchurched backgrounds through Holiday Clubs; the youth team will constantly have their eye on the horizon scanning for young people struggling with making sense of their world - be it through schools work or on the streets of Peckham, at the same time as nurturing the spiritual development of the youth within the church, and so it goes on in relation to Students; Families work; PUMP scheme etc.
However, there are specific 'high-points' during 2008, where, as a church, we can engage in significant opportunities to mesh with our community, to get our hands dirty, to remind those in our community that we love them, 'because He first loved us'. As the Salvation Army says "with hearts turned to God, our hands turn to man".
God Loves Peckham
God loves Peckham is All Saint's expression for practically loving our community. Since 2004 passionate teams from the congregation have identified areas in Peckham that needed a loving touch for example the Bradfield club was licked into shape, various estates were cleaned up and barbeques and 'Beats and Blessings' created a buzz wherever they sprung up.
This years GLP High Points:
