Small groups

Home groups are the key to our pastoral vision for All Saints. They meet each week in members’ houses.

Jesus was all about small groups. He chose 12 people and he stuck close with them for all the time he was ministering. In having these 12 people continually around them, they couldnot only hear his teaching, but see what it looked like in practice, in everyday life. They were able to learn, to pray, to eat and share their whole lives together. Whilst small groups at All Saints don't hang out 24-7, the idea is that we create small communities where people grow in their faith together. They are a place where Jesus is the centre and where we also learn, share, encourage and keep one another accountable.

Usually, groups meet on a weekly basis in the evening. There is a focus on studying God's word to understand more of him and deepen our relationships with Him. Different groups use a variety of resources, studying anything from books of the Bible to Christian books or DVDs. As well as studying together, we pray, worship, eat, go out and have weekends away. All the groups look slightly different, but at the centre is the focus of encouraging and sharpening each other in our faith.

Currently there are 16 small groups at All Saints, meeting in a cariety of place, have a look at the map to find a group near you. Most groups have about 8-14 people, but there is always room for growth, not matter what background you are from or what point of your journey you are on.

Tuesdays

Jo Sayer and Jon and Lucy Hopkins: We are a group wanting to grow in our knowledge of Christ and in our support and encouragement of each other. We are also keen to have an outward focus on mission and service. Food is an integral part of our times together!

Will and Clare Hague: We aim to encourage one another to grow in love, knowledge and depth of insight, for the glory of God.

David and Judi Naish: Keen to know God and committed to knowing each other, we are a diverse group that supports each other and knows how to have fun.

Brian and Layla Mathers: We want to honour God in meeting regularly together, to encourage and be accountable to one another, to study God's word, to worship him, and to serve in building His kingdom.

Ben and Sarah Horner: We help each other live out our faith in our everyday lives and together seek to deepen our relationships with God - and we always aim to have fun in the process!
